Abstract:
Blood and blood component transfusion is a critical intervention in modern healthcare, often
essential for saving lives, particularly in vulnerable populations such as children, women of
childbearing age, and patients with severe medical conditions. Ensuring the safety and quality of
blood and blood components is fundamental to reducing risks associated with transfusion, such
as the transmission of infections (e.g., HIV, Hepatitis B, syphilis, and Hepatitis C) and adverse
reactions.
