dc.description.abstract Background: Globally, more than 830 women died within a day with cases related to pregnancy and childbirth problems. Of which, the 99% of the death is happened in developing country, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa nations. In Ethiopia, the maternal mortality is one of the most crucial problems of the country. Providing suboptimal or low-quality maternal health service has damaging effect on the health outcome subsequent utilization of the services and directly related with maternal death. Patient satisfaction is one of measuring tools of quality of health service. Objectives: To assess level of maternal satisfaction on delivery service and its associated factor among woman who gave birth in public health center in Yeka sub City Addis Ababa. Methods: Facility based Cross sectional study was undertaken. A systematic random sampling was used to select participants. The data was collected by using structured interview administered questionnaire for mothers. The study was conducted among 406mother after ethical clearance was gain from Addis Continental Institute of Public Health and Addis Ababa health bureau. Epi-info version 7.1.0 and SPSS version 21 were used for data entry and analysis purpose respectively. Univariate analysis was used to explain frequency, percentage and standard deviation. Bivariate was used to see crude association between independent and dependent variable. Multivariate regression analyses were used to identify predictor of maternal satisfaction on delivery service. The result was distributed to concerned bodies. Result: Overall mothers’ satisfaction with delivery service were 239 (62.9%), Family income level of Mother’s of 1501-5000 were three times more likely to be satisfied than those less than 1500 (AOR=2.49; 95%CI: 1.3, 4.76). Mothers whose privacy measured not assured were less likely to be satisfied than those mothers whose privacy was assured (AOR=0.09; 95%CI: 0.05-0.17). Participant’s occupation status and education status were significantly associated with maternal satisfaction Conclusion and recommendation: The overall satisfaction of mothers with labor and delivery care in Yeka Sub City public health centers was low. Evaluate health care services from the patient's point of view; giving clients friendly services and targeting to identify problem areas are important. .......................................
