Abstract:
The Ethiopian Food and Drug Authority (EFDA), under Proclamation 1112/2019, regulates all
medicinal products, including plasma-derived biological products. Article 30(3) of the
proclamation mandates that blood and blood components intended for transfusion or further
processing must comply with stringent safety and quality standards before use.
