Abstract:
In line with the mandate that was given to it by the Ethiopian Government, AHRI has continued to be
actively engaged in biomedical research. This report summarizes the research activities and outputs
of AHRI in the 2022/2023 calendar year. In addition, activities that emanated from the new extended
mandate have been included in relevant sections even though not reflected in outcome and output
summary tables. The report is intended to communicate AHRI’s research findings and transfer of new
or improved technologies to policymakers, the community, healthcare professionals, the private
sector, and other stakeholders in the form of research digest, policy, issue briefs, and prototypes.
