| dc.description.abstract | Ethiopia, occupying an area of 1.1 million square kilometers, is the second most populous nation in Africa and home to a diverse population mix of ethnicity and religion. Based on the population projection for 2021, greater than 118 million peoples are expected to live in the country with growth rate of 2.7 %annually. A total of 335 births and 78 deaths are expected to happen per 10,000 population. Life expectancy of the country’s population is 60 years of age (57.7 years for Male and 62.4 years for Female). Age distribution of the nation’s population shows, majority of young people between 0 to 14 years of age covers 43.2% followed by peoples aged more than 65 years of age and 2.9%. | en_US |
