Ethiopia, led by the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) and with support from
different sectors and stakeholders, has been actively implementing the national action
plan for health security (NAPHS). The plan was officially launched in March 2019 and is
designed to span a comprehensive five-year period, aligning with the International
Health Regulations (IHR 2005). The NAPHS aims to strengthen Ethiopia's health security
capacity. The primary objective of Ethiopia's national action plan for health security
(NAPHS) is to enhance the country's public health capacities, making them more resilient
in the face of existing, emerging, and re-emerging emergencies. |
