Abstract:
This Annual Performance Report (APR) provides a
comprehensive, evidence-based review of Ethiopia’s
health sector performance and challenges during the
2017 Ethiopian Fiscal Year (EFY). The report aims
to transparently inform policymakers, development
partners, and stakeholders to assist in future
planning, resource allocation, and decision-making.
Primarily using data from the Health Management
Information System and other key sources. The report
highlights achievements in reproductive, maternal,
child and adolescent health (RMNCAH), nutrition,
disease prevention and control, primary health care,
medical services, emergency preparedness, health
system capacity, innovation, pharmaceuticals,
health financing and private engagement.
