Abstract:
Asthma is a disease characterized by chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways which results in enormous burden of disease, premature mortality and poor quality of life on patients. Evidences with regard to conventional clinical outcomes like respiratory symptoms and pulmonary functions, however, do not elucidate limitations in physical, emotional, and social life on patients, which influence patients’ quality of life. Assessing health-related quality of life of patients addresses various aspects of impacts due to illness, which cannot be obtained from clinical diagnosis procedures.
