Abstract:
Globally, 74 million women living in low and middle-income countries have unintended pregnancies annually. Family planning plays a significant role to reduce unintended pregnancies, maternal, and child mortality. The utilization of contraceptives remains low in Sub-Saharan Africa with a wide gap between the poor and the better off. In Ethiopia, only 20% of women in the first quintile and 47% of the women in the fifth quintile utilized modern family planning respectively.
