dc.description.abstract Cognitive impairment is when a person has suffered focused attention, executive function, recall, producing and understanding language, solving problem, and making decisions. Deficit in cognitive impairment is among the more serious of the sequalae of stroke, delaying and often seriously compromising attempts at rehabilitation. Post stroke cognitive impairment is associated with impaired activities of daily living, which in turn may result in greater utilization of healthcare services and reduced capacity for independent living and reduction in functional performance.
