Abstract:
From a Pharmaceuticals Supply Chain perspective, procurement is a strategic business
function designed to consult the market for the purchase of pharmaceuticals and other
health products. A Procurement Strategy is one of the important road maps for
implementing the recommendations of the Pharmaceuticals Sector Transformation Plan
(PSTP). The purpose of a Procurement Strategy is to guarantee economy of scale; to ensure
the transparency of operations; and to obtain the desired quality of pharmaceuticals and
services at the best possible price.
