Preconception care (PCC) is defined as a set of interventions that aim to identify and modify biomedical,
behavioral, and social risks to improve pregnancy outcomes during preconception and between pregnancy
(inter-conception) periods through risk assessment, health education and promotion, and management. It is
an evidence-basedintervention that aims to optimize the preconception health status of people of reproductive
age contemplating pregnancy. |
