dc.description.abstract Background: This study aims to assess the intention to use SMS-based mhealth interventions for improving drug adherence among diabetic patients at Zewditu Memorial Hospital, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Suboptimal medication adherence is a problem in many sub-Saharan countries, including Ethiopia, and text message-based interventions have been successful in improving health outcomes. This study aims to fill the gap in research by assessing the intention to use SMS reminders to promote medication adherence among diabetic patients in Ethiopia. en_US
