dc.description.abstract Pharmacotherapy has always been an integral part of health care system and will remain so in the future. It relies on the availability of safe, effective and affordable medicines with the required quality, quantity. Moreover, it requires, rational prescribing, dispensing and use of medicines. Emergency care is an essential part of the healthcare system. Around the world acutely ill and injured people die every day due to a lack of timely emergency care. Ethiopian is currently suffering from triple burdens, including communicable, non communicable disease and injuries. Ethiopian health care system is straggling to respond for prior existing emergencies due to communicable disease with increasing burden of emergencies from non-communicable disease including cardiovascular disease and injury. For timely management of these emergencies availability of emergency medicine is a crucial component en_US
