dc.description.abstract The GoE through MoH requested the Bank for finance to address the priority needs of the HSTP II through the Sustainable Development Goals Performance Fund (SDG PF). The goals of the SDG PF are to augment financial gaps of HSTP II in priority areas. In response to it, the Ethiopia PforR Strengthening Primary Health Care Services (SPHCS) project was developed which consists of both PforR and IPF components. The main focus of the IPF component is on emergency health and nutrition response in conflict-affected areas, having a total allocated fund of US 124 million to be financed by the IDA. Both the Health PforR and IPF components will be implemented from 2021-2025 through the MoH, the Immigration and Citizenship Services (ICS) and their regional counterparts. This ESMF is designed to address the environmental and social risks management aspects of the IPF component project. Its main objective is to establish an environmental and social management process that meets the National environmental and social requirements and World Bank ESF standards applicable for addressing environmental and social risks of the Investment Project Financin (IPF) Component of the Program for Result (PforR) SPHCS subprojects en_US
