Abstract:
Antimicrobials are essential to medical care and public health. They are vital for reducing morbidity
and mortality in individuals who present with microbial infections. Antimicrobials are also essential
for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases in veterinary practice and agriculture across
the livestock industry, fisheries and crop production. Thus, they are important for the food production chain and national
economies.
